Personal chef


A Private Chef or Cook is responsible for everything food/ kitchen-related. A Chef plans and prepares all meals for the Employer family (and possibly the household staff as well), performs organization and kitchen clean-up, and does shopping for all food and food-related supplies.
 
A Private Chef/ Cook’s responsibility also includes preparing food for parties, holiday meals, and special functions. These professional food preparers range in skills and training from the basic family cook to the formally-trained gourmet chef. Moreover, a Chef or Cook can plan and prepare a menu ranging from traditional, to gourmet, to vegetarian or vegan, depending on your preferences.
 
Salary for a New York Domestic Chef / Cook depends on your particular job requirements as well as the level of experience of the Chef or Cook. Benefits, perks, and other forms of compensation provided by the Employer also affect salary requirements.
